From investigating capital works projects to preparing construction plans and supporting project delivery, your work will help shape the infrastructure that supports a high quality of urban life across the City.

What You’ll Be Doing

Position Description

We’re looking for a technically capable and customer-focused engineering professional with strong design, drafting and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll ideally bring:

Responsibilities

Investigate and design capital works projects; Prepare construction plans and documentation; Assess traffic, transport and parking designs; Apply relevant standards and guidelines; Respond to community and stakeholder enquiries; Liaise with consultants, contractors and agencies; Prepare cost estimates and quantities; Support construction-phase design advice

Requirements

Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering; Relevant civil engineering design experience; Computer-assisted drafting experience; Advanced AutoCAD and design software skills; Strong communication and customer service skills; Knowledge of technical design standards; Sound time management and organisation skills; Current WA C class driver’s licence
