Environmental Services Technician - CMC (Full Time) 1st Shift

Atrium Health is seeking a full time Environmental Services Technician to work 40 hours per week at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas; Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes; Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors, recycling material, emptying cigarette receptacles; Keeps equipment clean and orderly; Maintains safe working environment and provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards; Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge; Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines

Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner; Can operate equipment; Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Nice to have

High School diploma or GED equivalent; One year experience
