Experienced Electrical Mechanical Technician (Nights 5:45pm-6:15am)

Electrician Technician – 5–10 Years Experience. The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining existing electrical system infrastructure (facilities and production equipment) to ensure safe and reliable electrical equipment and infrastructure is provided for all employees, contractors, etc.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and maintaining existing electrical system infrastructure (facilities and production equipment); Running conduit and piping to specifications, pulling wire, and completing terminations; Troubleshooting and repairing single phase and 3 phase power electrical and controls systems; Completing calibration and set-up of instrumentation devices and transmitters; Interpreting technical documents and diagrams such as factory manuals, blueprints, schematics, Single Line Electrical Drawings, mechanical and electrical equipment schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and P&IDs; Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Servo controllers; Identifying aging and obsolete automation hardware; Adhering to governmental regulatory programs and policies including National Electrical Code, EPA, UBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and local environmental agency policies; Practicing and complying with plant and maintenance department safety procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Arc Flash and Hot Work Permits; Following applicable good manufacturing practices (GMPs); Maintaining and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); Attending classes, seminars, and in-house training; Making improvements and suggestions to optimize maintenance program; Executing and documenting planned and unplanned work via computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Leveraging root cause analysis, breakdown failure analysis, and cause maps to identify and resolve equipment issues; Utilizing predictive maintenance technologies such as ultrasound, thermal imaging, and electrical/current analysis; Documenting causes of failure and collaborating to prevent recurrence

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility (Food & Beverage preferred) performing electrical maintenance duties, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs required; Must pass an electrical comprehension test where applicable; Must have experience with the proper use and interpretation of information collected through electrical diagnostic tools such as a Fluke Multimeter, ohmmeter, and meggar; Must be forklift certified or able to obtain forklift and aerial lifts certification; Valid Driver's License required; Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out detailed written or oral instructions, correspondence, and memos; Ability to write and present information in one-on-one and small group situations; Ability to communicate/interact with all levels of employees and work as a team member; Ability to perform simple arithmetic functions and measurements; Ability to use a computer for data entry and documentation of maintenance findings; Requires attention to detail, mechanical ability and ability to multi-task; Must be able to make good decisions under pressure; Ability to resolve problems involving multiple variables in high stress situations

Nice to have

Some college or formal technical school education with demonstrated aptitude and skills in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting; Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and chiller applications; 4+ years of experience as an Industrial maintenance electrician; Food & Beverage manufacturing experience preferred
