Field Application Engineer – PowerPro

Siemens EDA, a global leader in semiconductor design software, is seeking a customer-focused Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support its PowerPro platform for RTL and gate-level power analysis and optimization. You will work closely with leading semiconductor customers to drive successful evaluations, deployments, and adoption of PowerPro, while collaborating with sales, R&D, and product teams. Additional Information: Hybrid role with up to 20% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales to define and execute technical strategies aligned to customer needs; Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops; Lead evaluations and proof-of-concepts to drive business wins; Support deployment and adoption of PowerPro across customer teams; Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including debugging and training; Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to influence product enhancements

Requirements

Strong RTL design experience (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL); Knowledge of digital design, synthesis, and verification flows; Experience with RTL power analysis and optimization methodologies; Scripting skills (Tcl, Python); Strong communication and problem-solving skills; BS/MS in EE, CS, or related field

Nice to have

Experience with power tools (e.g., PrimePower, PowerArtist, or similar); Knowledge of low-power methodologies (UPF/CPF); Customer-facing experience (FAE/AE); Exposure to advanced SoC designs and nodes; Experience leveraging AI-driven tools and workflows (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI APIs, or agent frameworks) to improve productivity and debug efficiency
