Field Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a Field Operations Supervisor to lead site-level operations, drive performance, and build high-performing teams. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead site operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity; Conduct daily site walks to monitor work progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance; Drive performance against key metrics including turnaround time, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction; Manage staffing through recruitment, scheduling, training, and workforce planning; Facilitate daily team huddles (toolbox talks) to align on safety and production goals; Ensure accurate and timely repair tracking, reporting, and customer updates; Monitor and report KPIs including productivity, turnaround, and cost metrics; Participate in and support safety and quality audits; Oversee billing accuracy and timely completion; Support employee development, onboarding, and training initiatives; Lead and reinforce continuous improvement and visual management practices; Directly manages site employees and daily operations; Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and employee development; Leads disciplinary actions and conflict resolution in accordance with company policies

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; Previous supervisory or leadership experience; Strong knowledge of safety practices and quality standards; Ability to manage teams, schedules, and production priorities; Strong communication and problem-solving skills; Experience working with KPIs, reporting, and operational metrics

Nice to have

Bachelor’s Degree or some college; Experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial environments; Background in multi-site or customer-facing operations; Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
