Field Service Engineer

Anton Paar, one of the world leaders in laboratory instrumentation and services, has a new vacancy for a Field Service Engineer based in Perth (home-office). The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site support to customers in Western Australia carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will join a motivated, international team in a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

Duties include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Anton Paar’s Analytical measuring devices; Calibration and electronic adjustments; Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair; Inventory management (car stock); Completion of administrative tasks associated with field service actions; This role is home office based and the service work will be carried out on customer's sites

Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a field-based service role; Qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field; Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills; Experience with laboratory or analytical instruments; Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics; Customer-facing experience with professional communication skills; Ability to work independently and manage service priorities; Valid unrestricted driver's license; Valid unlimited working rights in Australia; Willingness to travel locally and overseas for training including overnight stays; Ability to work independently and responsibly within a team
