Food Server

This position is responsible for taking orders, serving drinks and food, acting as cashier, and ensuring that guests are taken care of during their meal. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable federal/state/local laws. The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities of all team members. However, other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary by reporting department management and will be addressed per department job descriptions and Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

Taking orders; Serving drinks and food; Acting as cashier; Ensuring guests are taken care of during their meal; Greeting guests and team members; Maintaining a proactive guest service approach; Assisting guests with questions regarding promotions, events, and locations; Maintaining attendance; Performing duties in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; Excellent customer service and communication skills; Maintain a neat and professional appearance; Basic knowledge of POS systems; Able to multi-task and serve multiple guests/tables; Must know menu items and daily specials; Must be accurate in taking payments and maintain a perfect cash balance; Good interpersonal skills and basic computer/F&B equipment knowledge; Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed; Must be able to provide work authorization documents for the United States; Must pass a drug test and obtain/maintain a gaming license from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission; Food Handlers Certification; Ability to lift at least 20 lbs and push/pull/drag up to 50 lbs; Ability to stand for extended periods; Must work well as a team and maintain confidentiality

Nice to have

Prior customer service in a fast-paced environment; At least six (6) months’ server experience in a full-service bar and/or restaurant
