Food Service Supervisor Part Time

You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, security and distribution of inventory, while being an effective leader to healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, security and distribution of inventory, while being an effective leader to healthcare staff; Managing an hourly workforce of unionized employees in accordance with company policies and procedures; Coordinating the shipping, receiving, and of products, order picking, and cycle counts to ensure all customer orders are shipped on time in accordance with customer specifications; Overseeing inventory management including the ordering of inventory, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring product distribution and turnover; Maintaining inventory management system and making recommendations to streamline operations and improve the inventory maintenance process; Coordinating inventory slotting activities to drive inventory accuracy and warehouse picking/loading efficiency; Ensuring quality, cleanliness, customer service and company policies and programs are maintained; Executing shipments, creating warehouse tasks and warehouse orders, assessing product availability of orders, updating orders as required; Providing required operational performance and delivery information to the Operations Manager; Ensuring adequate workforce resources are available for operational delivery and proposed additions/reductions to the Operations Manager; Ensuring all employees are properly trained in health & safety and food safety policies and procedures; Reviewing employee hours worked into the payroll system; Performing other project work as assigned by management

Requirements

Post-secondary education; CSNM membership; Strong adherence to meeting productivity, quality, and safety standards; Experience in a Long Term Care Setting, and or Healthcare; Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Strong analytical and communication skills; Applies best practices and seeks out opportunities to improve processes; Experience in a Unionized work environment; Able to work various shifts and extend working hours whenever required
