Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional

As a certified nurse or paramedic, you can pursue a career within the criminal justice system, aiding some of society's most vulnerable individuals. In collaboration with the Police, you'll serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in the custody suites, in line with a schedule agreed upon with our client. The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.

Responsibilities

Delivering healthcare to detainees in custody suites in collaboration with the Police; Ensuring the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in custody suites in line with a client-agreed schedule; Working flexibly across the base custody suite and assigned region in Police Custody Suites and Force area

Requirements

RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration with 2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum; Paramedic with 2 years post qualification; Minimum two years' post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role in a relevant clinical setting (A&E, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service); Ability to deliver high-quality care, work under pressure, and manage diverse clinical situations; Valid driving license; Right to work in the UK, lived in UK with British Passport or ILR for 3+ years with no gaps out of country more than 3 months; Subject to Police Vetting; Flexibility to work across base custody suite and assigned region in Police Custody Suites and Force area
