Full-Time Assistant Manager - Jordan Creek Town Center

At Hot Topic, we're passionate about music, pop culture, and creating the most amazing in-store experience for our customers and employees. We're searching for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to help lead the loudest store in the mall. The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving store objectives related to sales targets, recruiting, and development, while driving sales and building lifelong relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals; Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team; Create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products and use of social media platforms; Provide leadership around running an operationally sound business, including ops, delegation/autonomy, and customer-first selling practices; Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules; Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback; Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets; Merchandise the store using planograms as a guide and launch all promos on time; Develop a team of loyal, high-performing, customer-focused associates in partnership with the Store Manager

Requirements

At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience; Experience leading teams to success; Skills in communication, recruiting, operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising), and team development; Communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and a drive to develop team members; High school diploma or GED equivalent; Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment; Ability to navigate the store, merchandise product using approved store equipment, and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)
