Full Time Shula's Steakhouse Server

Position Summary: Shula's Steak House at the Hilton University of Florida is seeking a professional and service-driven Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role is responsible for maintaining a smooth and efficient restaurant operation while providing attentive, knowledgeable, and polished service to every guest.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service to all guests; Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen; Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages with proper presentation; Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including food, beer, wine, and spirits; Be knowledgeable about hotel amenities and other on-property dining options; Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the dining room and service stations; Ensure cleanliness and organization of tables, side stations, and overall restaurant environment; Polish and maintain flatware, glassware, and plates to established standards; Monitor food quality and service levels, addressing issues as needed; Expedite orders, verifying accuracy and presentation before service; Complete all assigned side work daily; Process guest checks and handle cash and payments according to company procedures; Foster a positive, team-oriented environment for both staff and guests

Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; Professional appearance and demeanor; Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; Basic knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service

Nice to have

Previous serving experience, ideally in an upscale or fine dining environment; Advanced knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
