Global Tax Policy Director

We are hiring a Global Tax Policy Director to our Finance - Tax & Treasury team in São Paulo, Brazil! As part of the Global Tax & Treasury organization, you will play a critical role in establishing and executing Wellhub's corporate tax policy strategy.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement tax policy strategies aligned with company objectives; Advocate for favorable tax policies with government authorities, industry associations, and policymakers; Assess impact of tax legislation and regulatory changes; Track and analyze emerging tax legislation, regulations, and trends; Provide timely insights to senior management on tax risks and opportunities; Represent company with government agencies, tax authorities, and trade associations; Collaborate with legal and internal controls to align tax policy strategies; Participate in industry forums, conferences, and working groups; Conduct in-depth research on complex tax policy issues and develop white papers, position statements, and policy briefs; Support tax planning and compliance teams; Evaluate economic and business implications of proposed tax changes; Ensure company adheres to evolving tax regulations; Work with tax compliance teams to mitigate risks; Provide guidance on tax governance and best practices; Live the mission and support wellbeing

Requirements

Seasoned tax professional with previous relevant experience in tax policy, government relations, or related function within a multinational corporation, tax authority, or professional services firm; Expert in domestic and international tax laws, tax legislative processes, OECD guidelines, BEPS, and global developments such as Pillar Two; Strategic relationship-builder with proven experience engaging with government agencies, industry groups, and key policymakers; Holds a Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Law, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Strong research skills to conduct tax impact assessments and policy modeling; Exceptional communicator and influencer who translates complex tax issues into clear recommendations; Resilient, adaptable professional who manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; Advanced English proficiency is mandatory
