Head of Business Line Operations - Tactical Effects

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The Tactical Effects Team is a cornerstone business line of the TRS group that is going through tremendous growth. The TRS Operations team is a small but mighty team of business generalists who 'solve for scale' the specific business problems that hamper efficiency or productivity. The role supports the Ghost and Precision Engagement Systems business lines, based in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

Own all aspects of business operations and infrastructure, ensuring business development, engineering, and production teams have what they need when they need it to execute; Serve as the General Manager's chief strategist to balance resource and execution risk against massive growth plans, regularly monitoring financials to help guide toward profitability targets; Translate growth signals into demand across operational infrastructure including staffing, real estate, test ranges, classified infrastructure, and production, and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Anduril to deliver; Own the business line's governance structure from business reviews to annual planning and employee onboarding to all hands, developing and evolving information pathways as the organization scales; Collaborate closely with division leadership to evolve the organizational structure and define and implement strong hiring, onboarding, and execution standards for key functions; Execute on special projects, evolve internal processes, spearhead the stand up of new functions, and lead M&A efforts as needed

Requirements

5-7+ years of varied experience in an operating role at a high-growth technology company, starting a venture, or in finance or consulting; Love solving complex, ambiguous, cross-functional problems in a people-centric way; High ownership and low ego, with strong outcome orientation and high humility; Highly detail oriented and data-driven; Discerning and an incredibly fast learner; Tactical and enjoys getting into the details
