Head of Operations, Romania

Take the wheel of operations in Romania, one of Glovo's largest markets, at a key moment to keep scaling the business. You will lead a team of 14 and own how we work with our 3PL partners in a market with a very specific legal and compliance context, balancing growth, cost and service while building strong relationships with partners, authorities and internal teams. This role is for a hands-on, data-driven leader who enjoys complex challenges and wants to set the operational standard for other markets.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of 14, including managers, 3PL managers and supply, partner ops and data analysts; Own the relationship with 3PL partners end to end: performance, service levels and commercial terms; Lead the evolution of the operational model in Romania; Make sure operations meet all legal, tax and labor requirements; Define, track and improve KPIs such as cost per order, delivery time and partner performance; Get close to the operation and design and improve processes that make operations more efficient, scalable and resilient; Partner with Commercial, Finance, People and other local teams, and with Regional and HQ teams; Work closely with the General Manager of Romania on strategic initiatives for growth in the market

Requirements

5-8 years of experience, including 2+ years leading teams, ideally through managers or team leads; Experience managing external partners that run part of the operation (e.g. 3PLs, fleet providers, logistics or delivery partners); Commercial negotiation skills with partners or suppliers; Stakeholder management across local, regional and HQ leadership; Strong analytical skills; A hands-on attitude; Romanian native or C1+; English B2+ (C1+ is a plus); Bachelor's or Master's degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, Law or similar)

Nice to have

Experience in on-demand delivery, last-mile logistics or the gig economy; Experience working with legal, regulatory or public stakeholders; Experience leading an operating model change or partner restructuring; MBA, C1+ English, and SQL or advanced Excel skills
