HGV Delivery Driver

Due to an increase in workload, our Birmingham branch is seeking HGV Delivery Drivers (known internally as Driver Guards). Our drivers are responsible for the safe handling and transportation of customer and company goods, whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer service.

Responsibilities

Safe handling and transportation of customer and company goods; maintaining excellent levels of customer service; secure transportation of cash and valuables between clients and destinations; completing deliveries with precision; adhering to safety protocols; performing vehicle checks before each journey; undertaking deliveries to a variety of customer sites; physically demanding activities such as walking, bending, lifting and carrying up to 15kg multiple times daily; representing the business with professionalism; maintaining strong customer relationships

Requirements

Dependable and punctual; great at communicating with customers, colleagues, and the public; team player with a positive, can-do attitude; flexible approach to working hours including weekends and bank holidays; happy to adapt to changing circumstances; detail-oriented and safety-conscious; high level of integrity; able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks; verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history; current UK driving licence (Category C1 as a minimum); approved to attain an SIA licence; physically capable of walking, bending, lifting and carrying up to 15kg multiple times daily
