Home Manager - Elderly Care Home - Ayrshire

Compass Associates are supporting a well-established care provider in the appointment of an experienced Home Manager to lead a large, established care home providing residential, nursing and dementia care. This is an opportunity to inherit a service with strong foundations, an experienced core team and a respected local reputation, while taking responsibility for driving the next phase of quality, leadership and operational improvement.

Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the leadership, performance and culture of the home; Working closely with the Regional Director and wider operational support functions; Driving improvements in quality and regulatory performance; Developing a high-performing and accountable leadership team; Strengthening nurse recruitment, retention and development; Enhancing resident and family experience; Increasing occupancy and community engagement; Embedding a positive, values-led culture throughout the home; Delivering strong operational and financial performance; Building confidence, stability and consistency across the service

Requirements

Previous experience as a Home Manager within a nursing, residential or dementia care setting; A strong track record of delivering quality improvements and positive inspection outcomes; Experience building and retaining high-performing teams; Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills; Commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets and occupancy; The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, professionals and regulators; Confidence managing change while maintaining team engagement; A visible leader who leads with integrity, compassion and accountability; The ability to recognise and value the experience of long-serving colleagues while bringing fresh energy, clear expectations and a commitment to continuous improvement

Nice to have

A nursing qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
