Hotel Laundry & Uniform Supervisor

The Uniform Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the proper and smooth operation of the Laundry and Uniform Room operations. This is a working Supervisor position who will work alongside of the Uniform and Laundry Attendants.

Responsibilities

Overseeing proper and smooth operation of the Laundry and Uniform Room operations; Working alongside Uniform and Laundry Attendants; Training of Uniform and Laundry Attendants; Issuing, tracking, organizing, washing, and pressing uniforms and linen such as sheets, napkins, tablecloths, and terry; Replacing worn garments as needed and recording linen and terry discard; Conducting quality audits to ensure all items are in good condition; Maintaining a well-maintained par level of all inventory; Conducting inventory and submitting order recommendations to the Rooms Operations Manager; Assisting employees with uniform issues ranging from quality, sizing, and fittings; Coaching and counseling Laundry and Uniform Attendants; Assisting with performance reviews for Laundry and Uniform employees with guidance from the Rooms Operations Manager

Requirements

Experience in hospitality or laundry industry required; Basic computer skills; Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel required

Nice to have

Previous supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping or laundry preferred; Experience preferably in Laundry or Housekeeping operations of a hotel; Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience desirable; Computer experience with an Inventory system desirable
