Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist manages various aspects of the HR function of an Eataly store including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, training, interpretation of policies, performance management, employee relations and terminations. Reports to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).

Responsibilities

Collaborates with the HRBP to deploy a fully integrated People strategy from acquisition to exit; Executes all aspects of the recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System: sources candidates, screens and selects candidates for advancement in the hiring process, coordinates interviews, collects feedback, manages candidate experience and follow up; Organizes in-store hiring events and participates in external job fairs; Provides training to hiring managers on the Applicant Tracking System and effective interviewing; Prepares employees for proper cultural assimilation through onboarding and new hire orientation; Serves as a fairness advocate and manages employee relations issues: conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, hearing and resolving employee grievances, counsels employees and supervisors; Works with managers to make coaching and development of employees a daily activity; Collaborates with Corporate to build and implement trainings for employees; Drives awareness and adoption of broad benefits offerings at Eataly; Conducts and analyzes exit interviews to identify and recommend improvements to existing processes; Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements; Supports the HRBP with metrics and data analysis; Performs other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree; 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in retail and/or hospitality; Understanding of all components of HR including systems, databases and metrics; Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills; Fluency in Spanish preferred
