We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused HVAC Counter Sales Associate to join our team in Birmingham, United States. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for HVAC contractors, technicians, and DIY enthusiasts, providing top-notch customer service and technical advice while driving sales of HVAC equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with product selection, offering expert advice on HVAC systems, parts, and accessories; Process sales transactions and manage customer accounts using point-of-sale (POS) systems; Maintain accurate inventory records and restock shelves as needed; Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product availability and resolve any issues; Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and local building codes; Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner; Participate in ongoing product training to enhance knowledge and sales skills; Support marketing initiatives and promotions to drive sales and customer loyalty; Ensure a clean and organized sales floor and counter area

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, HVAC certification preferred; 1-3 years of experience in HVAC sales or related field; Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry best practices; Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor; Proven sales ability and experience in a retail or counter sales environment; Proficiency in using computer systems, including POS and inventory management software; Basic math skills for calculating prices, discounts, and preparing quotes; Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to HVAC installations; Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities; Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings as needed
