Responsibilities

Carry out hands-on modification, construction, and maintenance of HVAC test rigs across a range of disciplines, including metalwork, timber fabrication, plumbing, and electrical wiring (power, communications, and instrumentation); Interpret and work from technical and schematic drawings to build, adapt, and optimise test setups; Support the delivery of experimental and testing programmes by setting up, operating, and adjusting equipment to meet project requirements.

Requirements

Experience working with HVAC, mechanical or plumbing equipment and applying technical knowledge to resolve issues; Ability to work unsupervised across a wide range of disciplines, including building rigs, metalwork and timber fabrication, wiring (power, communication and instrumentation), and plumbing; Ability to understand and interpret technical and schematic drawings; Self-motivated and focussed, with the ability to work in a team.

Nice to have

Proficient in use of MS Office software for reports, data analysis and presentations; Experience of working in a building-services engineering related environment such as contracting, installation or commercial consultancy.
