Inpatient Gastroenterology - Full Time PA

Inpatient Gastroenterology Full Time PA. This is a full-time, hospital-based position with primarily weekday daytime hours. Responsibilities include rounding, consults, documentation, and care coordination. Call schedule rotates between inpatient coverage and weekend call. Patient population includes adult inpatients with occasional pediatric consults. Locations include Advent Redmond Regional Medical Center and Atrium Floyd Medical Center. Training includes physician shadowing, inpatient workflow orientation, and ongoing mentorship.

Responsibilities

Rounding, consults, documentation, and care coordination; Conducting inpatient consults; Performing comprehensive patient histories and assessments; Daily rounding on hospitalized patients; Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans; Managing consults and coordinating care; Participating in weekend and holiday rounding as assigned; Supporting outpatient clinic care as needed

Requirements

Licensed Physician Assistant; DEA license required; Hospital privileges required at Advent Redmond Regional Medical Center and Atrium Floyd Medical Center
