Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech - Interventional Radiology

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician to support technologists and nursing staff during radiologic and interventional procedures. This role is essential to ensuring efficient workflow, patient safety, and high-quality care within the Radiology department.

Responsibilities

Evaluates and coordinates activities during surgical procedures by anticipating staff needs and necessary supplies; Adheres to proper surgical procedures of aseptic technique and safety in the use of instruments and equipment; Maintains an accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments; Gathers supplies and instruments and assembles them before procedures; Ensures that specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school or GED; BLS required; Prefers a candidate actively enrolled as a student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program in preparation of registry (ARRT/ARDMS); Prefers knowledge of surgical and radiologic procedures; I.V. certification is preferred
