Junior Utility Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Development of conceptual and detailed design of dry utility systems in accordance with standards.; Develop designs including alignments, profiles, sections and trench design in coordination.; Knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles; Prepare engineering drawings, 2D and 3D designs of utilities and volumetric analysis; Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes.; Develop 3D design models for conflict analysis and resolution in Civil3D.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.; 2+ years of experience in municipal and/or transportation infrastructure projects.; Ability to design dry utility systems; Experience with underground infrastructure design (water, sanitary, storm, drainage) will be an asset.; Working knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) will be an asset.; Working knowledge of BIM process, development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud (ACC) will be an asset.; Strong communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.; High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work; Ability to learn on the job and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
