Kennedy Valve-Maintenance Planner Supervisor

The Maintenance Planner Supervisor is responsible for optimizing maintenance efficiency, reliability, and the supervision of the Facility Utility, Day Porter, and Commercial Cleaners across all of the foundry and machining operations. This position ensures that all maintenance activities are properly planned, scheduled, resourced, and documented within the company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The planner works cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to minimize downtime, improve wrench time, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance, safety, and cost control.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules and integrate predictive technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling) to reduce downtime; Convert maintenance requests into detailed, safe, and executable work orders with defined labor, tools, and materials; Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule work efficiently and issue weekly task priorities; Maintain accurate equipment BOMs and critical spare listings within the CMMS; Serve as CMMS data steward, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and system integrity; Track and report KPIs such as PM compliance, schedule adherence, MTBF, and MTTR; Perform root cause analyses and maintain documentation supporting ISO 9001 and 45001 compliances; Supervise Facility Utility, Day Porters, and Commercial Cleaners; Plan daily and weekly activities of the department; Implement safety and housekeeping practices including hazardous waste disposal

Requirements

5+ years of maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing, foundry, or machining operations; Proficiency with CMMS platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo, eMaint, Maintenance Pro, or equivalent); Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

Associate or bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience); 2+ years in a planning or CMMS role; CMRP certification; OSHA 30-hour certification; Maintenance Safety Certification
