Responsibilities

The Laboratory Co-op will support the daily operations of the analytical laboratory, maintaining smooth testing workflows and ensuring a safe work environment.; Perform laboratory testing of water and hydrocarbon fluids as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).; Adhere to the analytical and quality control protocols accurately, timely, and safely.; Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment and apparatus.; Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, sample containers and consumables.; Receive and handle samples delivered to the facility during normal business hours.; Dispose waste materials in compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and requirements.; Support safety and quality initiatives and activities.; Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established timelines.; Report malfunctions (threshold exceeded, non-compliant samples, quality alert procedure) to the laboratory manager.

Requirements

Rising Junior or Senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.; Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.; Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.; Self-motivated and proactive with a hands-on approach.; Ability to accurately read and interpret various documents, including instruction and safety manuals.; Proficiency with Google Suite Applications.; Full-time availability for 8-12 months starting May/June 2027.
