Laboratory Technician (HPLC) - Eurofins Environment Testing - Lancaster, PA

The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America's Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies. Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis; Performs sample preparation (aliquot samples, spike and trace samples, prepare reagents, bottle samples, prepare concentrations, separation, sonication, liquid rack set up); Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled; Prepares general laboratory paperwork (recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, laboratory logbooks); Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day's samples; Stocks laboratory supplies; Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment; Assists other laboratory areas as needed; Performs general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Experience: High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience; General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science; Basic mathematical skills; Production work; Good organizational skills; Good communication skills; Problem solving skills; Ability to multi-task; Quick learner; Work independently; Work within time constraints; Willingness to train in Richmond, VA; Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship; Professional working proficiency in English (read, write and speak)
