LACC Event Attendant (Conversion - PT/Union)

The Part Time Event Attendant (union) is responsible for the set-up and tear-down of chairs, tables and other related materials/furniture in exhibit halls, lobbies, public and banquet areas and meeting rooms in preparation for various events at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC).

Responsibilities

Set up chairs, tables, partitions, and material/furniture in preparation of events; Break down and stack chairs, tables, partitions and other related material/furniture; Set up risers in preparation of events; Follow directions and read room plans to set up for an event; Work efficiently and quickly to set up and break down an area for an event; Maintain proper care of uniforms, equipment and supplies; Safely operate assigned Facility Services equipment upon completion of training; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency, General Studies; Years of related work experience: 0-1; Will train on site; General work experience necessary; Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures; Must have reliable transportation; A required and variable work schedule such as late hours, early mornings, holidays, and weekends will be required

Nice to have

General work experience in a convention center, hotel or large public meeting facility a plus
