Arbeit vor Ort

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 03.09.2026

Nau mai ki te roopu Arvida | Welcome to Arvida

At Arvida, we create communities with freedom to thrive.

We develop and operate communities that provide independent living and aged care services to older New Zealanders - with a resident-led approach. Each day, our interactions with our team and residents are guided by three values: Being There | In it Together | Look for a Way.

Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Legal Executive to join our Settlements Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis (maternity cover) – full-time or part-time hours considered, based at our Auckland Support Office in the CBD.

This isn't your typical legal executive role. Rather than being allocated a fixed group of villages, you'll act as a float resource across Arvida's portfolio of retirement communities, stepping in wherever the team needs you most. You'll help level the workload during busy settlement periods, ensuring our residents and their families experience a smooth and timely transition into their new home.

Day to day, you'll be

You'll be part of a small, tight-knit legal team and will have the support of experienced colleagues — but you'll also need to be comfortable managing your own workload independently and adapting quickly to different village environments.

To tatou kaitono pai | What you bring

You are a delivery-focused legal executive with a high level of integrity, energy and drive. In addition, you will also bring:

Responsibilities

Managing the end-to-end ORA settlement process for incoming and outgoing residents; Preparing, reviewing, and managing settlement documentation including settlement statements; Liaising with residents, their families, and their lawyers throughout the settlement journey; Coordinating with sales managers, village managers, finance, and operations teams across different communities; Contributing to process improvement initiatives and technology solutions within the settlements function

Requirements

2+ years' experience as a Legal Executive with strong conveyancing focus, ideally with a blend of in-house and private practice experience; An understanding of the retirement village regulatory landscape is a bonus but not essential – we’ll get you up to speed; NZ Diploma in Legal Executive Studies (or equivalent) preferred; Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple villages; Adaptability — you're comfortable stepping into different teams and environments and building rapport quickly; Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a genuine desire to support people through significant life transitions; A collaborative mindset with the empathy and communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and a diverse range of internal stakeholders

Benefits

A competitive market salary in a purpose-led environment; An engaging, positive, and supportive work culture; Flexibility and variety — no two days (or villages) will be the same; The opportunity to develop your skills across a large and diverse portfolio
