Logistics Coordinator - 2ND SHIFT

Coordinates the movement of materials and finished products throughout the facility to support production and ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Serves as a key communication link between Production, Sales/Customer Service, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments to support efficient material flow and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily logistics activities to support production requirements and customer delivery commitments; Coordinate shipments and deliveries with carriers, customers, suppliers, and internal departments; Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and logistics documentation; Monitor shipment status and communicate delays or issues to the appropriate departments; Move product to work station, shipping or staging by manually lifting and carrying and/or using conveyors, carts and hoists; Package products based on type, work instructions and customer instructions; Ship product using appropriate computer station; Prepare skids for truck shipments; Load local courier vehicles and trucks by manually lifting or using fork lift when appropriate; Perform other duties as assigned; Perform 6S on a daily basis

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Must be detail oriented and have a high concern for accuracy; Must have strong organizational and time-management skills; Must be able to effectively communicate with Production, Sales/Customer Service, Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, and other departments; Must have good attendance; Must have good computer skills and familiarity with online shipping platforms; Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently; Able to stand and walk while working for extended periods; Ability to work overtime as required

Nice to have

Knowledge of shipping, receiving, transportation, and logistics processes preferred; Previous experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, transportation, or a related field preferred; Previous experience with ERP, inventory, shipping, or transportation management systems preferred; Two or more years of related experience preferred
