Responsibilities

Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements; Support company Core Values, participate in Safe Work environment, and completes observations; Inspect equipment for safety; Read and understand a production order; Meet company productivity requirements; Meet company and customer quality requirements; Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced; Good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management; Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III; Standing and walking 8 to 12 hours everyday; Varying and extreme working conditions outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)

Requirements

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2 years production and/or shipping experience, preferably in the metals/materials industry; Execute assignments as given by the Supervisor or Group Leader; Immediately inform supervision of all equipment, process, material, safety, and quality concerns; Follow all work instructions, policies, work rules, safety guidelines, and work procedures; Training other team members as assigned; Participate in daily housekeeping of assigned areas and other cleanup efforts as assigned; Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and customer complaint resolution efforts; Read and understand product blueprints and technical data sheets as required; Perform basic preventative equipment maintenance as assigned; Accept reassignment to other departments as workload dictate; Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
