Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of food manufacturing and production equipment; Diagnosing faults and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues; Supporting production teams to maximise machinery uptime and operational efficiency; Delivering preventative maintenance activities to minimise breakdowns; Assisting with the installation, commissioning and optimisation of new equipment; Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety and food industry regulations; Contributing to continuous improvement projects across the site

Requirements

A recognised engineering apprenticeship; NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; Experience carrying out root cause analysis within a manufacturing environment

Nice to have

Previous food manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but not essential
