Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day operations of our maintenance department. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hotel engineering or general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and basic repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical tasks; Respond promptly and courteously to guest and staff maintenance requests, escalating issues as needed; Execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life; Monitor building systems and recommend repairs or upgrades as needed; Follow established safety procedures, property standards, and applicable maintenance guidelines; Complete assigned work orders accurately and communicate the status of repairs to the engineering team; Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall operation and upkeep of the property

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred; Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing; Ability to follow instructions, learn new technical skills, and ask for assistance when needed; Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment; Good communication and customer service skills when interacting with guests and team members; Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs; Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively with the engineering team; Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach; Ability to walk up and down stairs daily and sit for periods up to 4 hours; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with or without reasonable accommodations
