Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair and optimize production equipment. Day to day, you will coordinate with production, engineering and other maintenance personnel to conduct planned and predictive maintenance, solve problems and implement solutions quickly and safely to keep factory assets operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems; Model safety and share mechanical and electrical expertise to train other team members and champion a safety-first work environment; Execute Planned Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations; Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and equipment including motors, conveyors, bearings, gears, sprockets, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation systems; Work to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis; Utilize mechanical and electrical tools, diagnostic instruments (meters), mechanical diagrams and schematics, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other digital tools to work safely and efficiently; Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices and welding skills in an industrial environment

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex mechanical equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military or related environment; Must be willing to work 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule
