Material Handler 1st Shift

The Material Handler will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.

Responsibilities

Handle all material handling needs; primarily pick warehouse parts and deliver them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production; Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand; Achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity; Work under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies; Participate in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity; Complete and retain all required training; Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors; Participate in 5S programs; Complete forklift daily per procedure; Maintain good attendance per policy

Requirements

0-2 years of experience; Follow and adhere to company policies; High level of attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to effectively work in a team environment; Effective communication skills; Basic PC knowledge; Ability to identify and resolve basic problems; Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions; High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years' experience; Strong communication skills; Intermediate PC knowledge; Ability to identify and resolve intermediate problems; Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials; Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program; 2 to 5 years' experience; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to learn and use problem solving tools in everyday work; Previous experience coaching and training other employees; Experience leading and forming teams

Previous experience and ability to operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials; Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program
