Material Handler Metal- 1st shift

The Warehouse Materials Handler ensures department cleanliness, orderliness, and safety. The Warehouse Materials Handler ensures the accurate recording of data. The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm.

Responsibilities

Ensure department cleanliness, orderliness, and safety; Ensure accurate recording of data; Listen and follow the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, and take guidance from senior team members; Assist with the physical organization of inventory; Return inventory items to the proper locations; Assist materials handlers with picking items required for production

Requirements

Follow all safety policies & procedures as a prerequisite to employment; Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Able to write and do basic math; Basic computer skills or willing to learn; Must be able to read a tape measure; Must be able to work well with others; Able to stand on feet wearing safety boots from 8-10 hours a day; Ability to lift, carry, twist, walk, and reach constantly, and bend frequently; Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.; Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
