Responsibilities

Inspect and verify all construction materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with RTA specifications, approved material submittals, and contract requirements .; Check material source approvals, delivery notes, batch certificates, and test reports prior to acceptance and use at site.; Carry out sampling and witnessing of laboratory and field tests for soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel, and other civil materials as per approved ITPs.; Ensure materials used for roadworks, bridges, culverts, drainage, and utility works conform to approved specifications and drawings.; Monitor storage, handling, and protection of materials to prevent contamination, segregation, or damage.; Verify compliance with RTA-approved suppliers, manufacturers, and testing laboratories .; Coordinate with the Material Engineer and Site Engineer regarding testing schedules, approvals, and material-related issues.; Inspect asphalt paving, concrete works, earthworks, and backfilling to ensure correct materials and workmanship are used.; Review and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) related to materials and civil works.; Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and material logs for QA/QC and as-built documentation.; Identify non-conforming materials, raise NCRs and site observations , and follow up on corrective actions.; Ensure compliance with HSE requirements , especially during material handling, sampling, and testing activities.; Monitor material usage and quantities to avoid wastage, misuse, or deviation from approved specifications .; Assist in RTA inspections and audits , providing required documentation and site support.; Report daily site activities, material inspections, and testing status to the Material Engineer / Resident Engineer .

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma Holders with relevant education background; RTA or DM Approval holder is must
