Mechanical Designer

Born as an electrical design firm, we have evolved into a full-service Architecture and Engineering firm specializing in healthcare design. We are seeking a talented and passionate Mechanical Designer II to join our growing team. As a Designer, you will play a key role in creating innovative and impactful design solutions that elevate the lives of our users/clients. You will work closely with the project engineer and other team members to translate concepts into compelling and user-friendly designs.

Responsibilities

Design and draft mechanical and plumbing systems including ductwork, piping, sanitary systems, domestic water, medical gas, compressed air, natural gas, and water heating systems; Collaborate with engineers to develop and evaluate design concepts; Assess feasibility of design ideas based on safety, function, and serviceability; Create detailed drawings, blueprints, and sketches using Revit software; Develop construction documents and coordinate intermittent submissions; Work closely with other disciplines to ensure cohesive design integration; Conduct field investigations and site visits; Determine the optimal routing and sizing of systems; Use computer-aided design tools and software

Requirements

Healthcare experience is required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited); 4+ years as a mechanical designer; Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, MS Office Suite, Trane TOPSS, Trace 3D; Travel up to 20% depending on project; U.S. citizenship is required

Nice to have

Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and working toward professional licensure (PE)
