Mechanical II

You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a licensed engineer. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology.

Responsibilities

Perform designs of ductwork, piping, equipment selection for HVAC systems for building design; Assist with Plumbing and Fire Protection Designs; Calculate heating and cooling loads, layout and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software; Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems; Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects; Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units; Review shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents; Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team; May independently research and respond to emergent issues; Assist in gathering information to respond to RFIs and review of change orders; Perform job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress; May direct activities of staff with less experience; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering; Minimum of 4 years of related experience; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Able to effectively handle multiple projects; Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus)

Nice to have

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program; EIT/FE in the United States; LEED accreditation
