Mechanical III

You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a licensed engineer. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology.

Responsibilities

Perform and direct design of ductwork, piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems; Assist with Plumbing and Fire Protection Designs; Supervise or provide project management direction within the mechanical discipline; Calculate heating and cooling loads, layout, design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software; Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings; Edit specifications; Research and respond to emergent issues; Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units; Review shop drawings; Interface with clients and attend OAC meetings; Respond to RFIs and review change orders; Conduct job site visits; Coordinate work activities and participate in business development; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering; Minimum of 6 years of related experience; Working knowledge and experience while acquiring higher level knowledge; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Able to effectively handle multiple projects; Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus)

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program; Current PE in the United States; LEED accreditation; Candidates located in or near Arlington, VA, Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Buffalo, NY, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, Minneapolis, MN, Pittsburgh, PA, or St. Louis, MO
