Medical Scribe - Cardiology/EP

As a Medical Scribe, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

Responsibilities

Pre-Visit Preparation: Assemble patient charts, retrieve external records, and gather test results before visits; Real-Time Documentation: Accompany clinicians during exams to transcribe visits into the EHR using precise medical terminology; Order Entry: Pend labs, imaging, medications, and referrals with appropriate diagnoses for clinician approval; Chart Completion: Update patient histories, enter follow-up instructions, and submit final records for physician sign-off; Clinical Assistance: Measure vital signs, room patients, and assist with non-sterile procedures as needed

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Typically requires 1 year of experience in medical assisting, medical transcription, emergency medical services, patient service and/or as a health care professional with demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology and technical spelling; Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills; May need to occasionally lift/carry up to 20 lbs
