Medical Waste Operator/Backup Box Truck Driver - 1st Shift 5AM

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class B license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Memphis, TN area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

Responsibilities

Driving a 28ft box truck when needed; Weighing incoming regulated medical waste containers using our weighbridge; Loading/operating our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials); Recertifying 55 gallon drums; Counting universal waste (lightbulbs, batteries, etc.) and adding them to the manifest; Experience in training others; Lifting up to 75 lbs and handling 55 gallon drums; Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations; Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships; Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes; Loading and unloading and organizing truck per schedule needs; Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections; Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs

Requirements

Class B license; experience driving large trucks; NonCDL license with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card; minimum 2 years experience operating 28 foot box truck; passing 7 year MVR review; experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations; experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections; can-do attitude with strong customer focus; proven longevity in past employment; touch freight experience; lifting up to 75 lbs and handling 55 gallon drums; pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
