Mobile Seed Plant Operator

An opportunity has arisen to join the Frontier team, based at Hermitage. We are looking for a Mobile Seed Plant Operator to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be responsible for planning your daily workload and driving to farms to process Farm Saved Seed. An important part of your role will be continuously checking product quality, taking samples and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for maintaining mobile and site machinery while ensuring it is clean and tidy and that Health & Safety processes are always adhered to.

Responsibilities

Planning daily workload and driving to farms to process Farm Saved Seed; Checking product quality, taking samples and ensuring customer satisfaction; Maintaining mobile and site machinery while ensuring clean and tidy and Health & Safety compliance; Running the mobile seed plant to clean and treat various products; Servicing the mobile seed plant to required standards; Supervising support staff whilst operating on customer's premises and on site; Assisting the Site Manager as workload requires; Organising loading of chemical and bag requirements on to vehicles as per customer orders; Organising own workload and working unsupervised

Requirements

Full UK driving licence required; Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally; Highly organised with ability to plan and prioritise effectively

Nice to have

Previous Agricultural, Mechanical or grain handling experience; HGV Class 2
