Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a UK known FMCG manufacturer in the Worthing area! With no day ever being the same, the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be involved in the central processes of an environment undergoing large expansion! Below outlines the day to day responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Working as part of team; Complete PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing/industrial/FMCG machinery to maximize equipment performance; Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults across single- and three-phase systems; Conduct electrical fault-finding with quick response and rectification; Perform activities on 3-phase and single-phase power; Perform activities on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters and packaging equipment etc.; Source and replace spare parts as needed; Support continuous improvement projects on existing and new machinery; Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards; Other duties as required

Requirements

Time-served or formally qualified in engineering – experience favoured; 17th/18th Edition and experience in FMCG/industrial settings; Electrical bias with mechanical capability; Knowledgeable of both electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias to electrical; Hands on and enjoys getting stuck in; Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical); Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude; Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

Welding experience; PLC fault finding experience; Familiarity with pneumatics and PLCs; Knowledge of CAD systems
