Night Auditor- The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa

The Night Auditor position requires always working a flexible schedule of evening and overnight shifts including weekends and public holidays and on call. The applicant must meet the minimum requirements and must be able to speak, read, write English in the workplace. The successful candidate duties and responsibilities will include organizing the shift, reconciling daily financial transactions, processing guest check-ins and check-outs, responding to guest inquiries, providing the highest quality of service, closing the business day in the PMS system, preparing daily reports, recording and reconciling transactions, and performing all other duties deemed necessary by management.

Responsibilities

Organize the shift and review/complete remaining reservations, verify contingency reports, resolve discrepancies, verify no-shows, and complete a walk report; Reconcile daily financial transactions; Process guest check-ins and check-outs, handle reservations, and ensure accuracy in billing and accounting records; Respond to guest inquiries and address issues that arise during the night; Communicate with next shift associates by logging pertinent information through hotel’s pass-along system; Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times; Reconcile Food & Beverage, Front office, and all credit/cash transactions for the day; Close the business day in the PMS system and ensure all postings are accurate; Prepare, review, and distribute daily reports such as the Manager’s Report, Occupancy Report, and Revenue Summary; Record and reconcile all transactions in the income journal; Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management

Requirements

Must have at least one or more years of Front Office experience; Minimum of 2 years Hotel Accounting and Audit experience required; Working knowledge of OPERA and PMS computer systems required; Computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel required; Must be able to work shifts between 11 pm to 7 am; Willing to work 6 days a week overnight shifts and if needed on public holidays and weekends; Must be able to speak, read, write English in the workplace; Flexible schedule of evening and overnight shifts including weekends and public holidays and on call
