Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Transfer Center and Hospitalist - Downtown

What You Can Expect

- Hours: 7am-7pm
- Schedule: 7on/7off
- 1 week in the Transfer Center and 1 week inpatient
- Average 12 patient contacts daily
- Serve as the back-up to the Transfer Center
- Facilitate discharges before 12 p.m.
- Queue discharges for the following day
- Epic EHR System
- Support overflow admissions
- Respond to rapid needs

Baptist Hospitalists – internists who exclusively practice in the hospital, working in partnership with outpatient and post-acute care physicians to provide care across the spectrum. The Baptist Hospitalist Team provides care on-site, 24/7 and are a valued and respected part of the inpatient team.

As a Baptist Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assist, inpatient care, treatment, and education is provided under the supervision of the overseeing physician according to the Baptist Inpatient Medicine Nurse Practitioner Protocols.

Requirements

Master’s degree; Minimum of one year of experience in Hospital Medicine or Critical Care/ICU; Certified and licensed APRN/PA; Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license; Current BLS and ACLS certification, or ability to obtain; Valid Florida driver's license
