Nursery Practitioner

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help deliver high-quality early years education and care while building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities; Creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment; Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress; Planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences; Building positive relationships with parents and carers; Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing; Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding practice; Promoting children’s independence, confidence, and social development

Requirements

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education; A genuine passion for working with young children; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Knowledge of the EYFS framework; Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

Nice to have

Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting; Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs; Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
