Ocean Manager

To strengthen our team in Kloten, Zuerich or in Morbio Inferiore, Ticino we are looking for a motivated and experienced Manager in the Seafreight sector. Responsibilities

Maintain and develop a positive relationship with assigned accounts through pro-active communication and providing timely and accurate information; Create and maintain an effective department organization; Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the department; Be responsible for compliance and quality issues for the ocean product; Ensure that productivity and profitability goals for ocean department are met; Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors; Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations; Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department

Requirements

5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarder; Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures; Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels.; Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native language; Native speaker skills or fluency in German is a must
