Operations Efficiency Intern

You will be an intern on the Customer Delight team at Back Market supporting operational efficiency for the Customer Care, Shipping & Seller Quality teams. The team acts as performance accelerators, combining technical expertise with operational knowledge to improve team and individual efficiency across Back Market's global operations. The internship is a full-time position (35h/week, Monday to Friday) lasting 6 months, starting January 2027, in Bordeaux, France.

Responsibilities

Support the identification, prioritization, and creation of automation opportunities across Customer Delight; Contribute to the testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of automations, workflows, and AI agents built with tools such as Dust, Workato, or similar platforms; Help improve processes by applying Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies and sharing ideas and practical solutions with stakeholders; Assist with the automation of recurring reporting, data collection, analysis, and other operational tasks; Help build and test automated insights and reports; Contribute to root cause analyses to identify opportunities for sustainable improvement; Assist the team in monitoring key performance indicators and operational efficiency metrics daily, weekly, and monthly; Support the Operations Efficiency Specialist in promoting the use of AI and automation tools across Customer Delight teams; Help prepare examples, guides, and training materials for onboarding internal teams to AI tools and workflows; Collect user feedback and help identify barriers to adoption

Requirements

Pursuing a Master's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Data, or a related field, with an internship agreement; Interest in using data, process analysis, technology, automation, and AI to improve how teams work; Comfortable with, or willing to learn, tools such as SQL, Google Sheets, Omnii, Dust, and Workato; Analytical, organized, and autonomous mindset with strong problem-solving skills; Enjoys understanding operational processes and explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences; Fluent in spoken and written English and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

Additional languages; Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement; Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies; Experience with workflow automation or AI tools
