Outpatient Manager Procedural Services

Responsibilities

Planning, management, implementation and evaluation of operations/services to ensure quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness; Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency standards, i.e., federal, state, city, IDPH and all hospital policies and procedures; Participates in short and long term planning; Establishes staffing requirements and maintains productivity as budgeted; Monitors quality of patient care and patient satisfaction; Facilitates care delivery in conjunction with the patient focused model; Supports and facilitates case management practice; Develops and implements policies and procedures; Promotes patient safety; Develops and incorporates Performance Improvement projects; Ensures standards of practice are developed, implemented and evaluated; Conducts special projects and studies; Assumes 24 hour responsibility for assigned areas; Preparation and administration of budgets; Plans and administers an annual budget and monitors expenditures; Assures efficient utilization of supplies; Develops program proposals; Completes forecasting for budgets; Develops major equipment purchase proposals; Assists with feasibility studies; Responsible for selection, development, motivation and evaluation of staff; Coordinates recruitment activities and retention strategies; Assesses educational needs; Assists individuals with professional goals; Ensures orientation program; Implements disciplinary procedures; Monitors resolution of performance issues; Recruits, selects, mentors and motivates direct reports; Ensures timely performance reviews; Facilitates staff meetings; Maintains effective working relationships; Networks with peers and professionals; Coordinates activities with other hospital departments; Collaborates with physicians and leadership; Actively participates in hospital committees and projects; Responsible for personal and professional growth; Maintains knowledge of current standards of care; Maintains memberships in professional organizations; Participates in activities to enhance professional growth

Requirements

Nurse, Registered (RN); Bachelors degree in Nursing; 5 years clinical experience; Organizational, planning delegation skills; Team Building skills; Communication skills; Demonstrates leadership attributes; Results oriented with concern for appropriate process; CPR; Professional Registered Nurse; Ability to travel locally as well as long distance travel; Ability to work within stressful conditions and difficult situations; Resilient and flexible in a changing environment; May be exposed to hazardous material and life threatening diseases; Ability to cooperate and work with others; Ability to make sound and timely decisions
