Paediatric Complex Carer/Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking Support Workers to provide complex care for children with a range of complex issues, across Hampshire. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in the life of children working in a supportive, caring environment in a home-based setting.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care to young children; Be proactive with managing activities & sensory play; Ability to communicate clearly & effectively through verbal & written means; Strong interpersonal skills, along with empathy; Must have a calm demeanour and a playful personality; Maintain clear and accurate care observation records; Must be able to maintain a high level of personal care

Requirements

At least a 1 years’ experience working with Children; Proven experience in Paediatric Complex Care; Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Airmid care team, MDT and family; Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient-focused care; Experience with Learning Disabilities & challenging behaviour

Nice to have

Experience with Tracheostomy; PEG/NG Feeding; Ventilators; Deep suctioning (not all essential)
